Getting started with pitching
Start composing the e-mail. Select campaign from right menu. Select the contact you would like to send e-mail to. You can see information about contact.
Press Send e-mail button to populate To: and BCC: for this contact. Write everything else as normally. Outgoing mail will be recorded in Valosan.
Changing status for contact in the campaign
There is 4 ways status changed for contact in the campaign:
- Go to the media list and change the status for the campaign. Status change will be recorded automatically in Valosan.
- Write message to contact in campaign and set a status on email.
- Drag contact in Pitch tab in campaign to appropriate lane
- Add publication to contact to change status to PUBLISHED
I see contacts in Valosan but status does not have a date
Only when you have added media list to the Valosan we can track the date of the status change in the media list. Please add them early in the campaign to get tracked properly.
I have another extension which shows sidebar in GMail
Unfortunately you cannot have both Valosan and another app running at the same time.
You can disable Valosan or other extension temporary by pressing V icon at the top bar (see below) or other extension by selecting "Turn off extension for this Gmail inbox" .
Is there an off switch for Valosan?
I am emailing some clients (not as part of a campaign) and there doesn’t seem to be an option to pause/sleep Valosan if I click on the Chrome extension icon.
You can hide extension UI by clicking V icon at the top. To disable extension, click on icon and select "Manage extension". Switch toggle to off. You will need to reload GMail for this to change effect.

Adding printed coverage to the campaign in Valosan
Currently, you can only add addresses of web pages containing an article or publication, and you cannot attach a picture or PDF or (offline) or otherwise not available online publication to Valosan. If you have a publication that you want to be added to Valosan which does not have an address, please save it as a PDF file and upload it to Google Drive. Don't forget to make a document publicly visible. Adding shared link to Valosan will generate the correct preview image.
Is there a limit to how many contacts can be reached out using Valosan?
Valosan is not a mass marketing or e-mailing tool. We follow Google recommendations and the sensible limit is 2000 contacts reached out during the day per Valosan user, either during pitching or using mass send-outs. This limit is counted for all your Gmail communication during the day and applies to verified Google Workspace accounts.
